Art Chantry 1

Art Chantry is a graphic designer mainly influenced by the designs in the period of Punk. A lot of images had an influence on him, such as monster magazine, hot-rod art and psychedelic culture.
He was very creative and innovative from such young age, he was doing designs and posters since was fifteen years old.

Because of his influences and how he influenced others in the punk scene, he was called for "subculture" of the design.
He was taught from the early ages in schools and later in collage about the graphic work and design, and through that he always tried to find his own way out of anything which is mainstream and international type of style. Later on because of that he was being known. He is now Art Director of an alternative Seattle paper. Now because of all success of the past years he allows him self that he only works at the project which interest him. That is what i like the most about him.

The style which he invented and developed make him one of the most influenced designers. Although his designs were and are copied he doesn't mind, he said that there is nothing new in design, everybody is taking the existing stuff and just continues the good design from before.
