Psychedelic movement 1

This movement began at the middle 60s and when it began it really had impact on everything, especially music and culture. Everything changed when this type of style came along. They called it psychedelic by the drugs that were everywhere at that time.

Using of the drugs was very popular at the time, everybody were using them, especially young people. That was sort of a trend which became a way of inspiration to graphic design. Because of the using them and knowing how you feel under them the posters which were created were trying to came back that feeling without drugs. To make you feeling of tripping out by just looking at them. To acknowledge that they were using curvilinear shapes, hand-drawn types, and intense color vibration which was mainly inspired by the pop art movement.

The best known by his psychedelic posters is Wes Wilson. He designed for Bill Graham and The Fillmore in San Francisco and invented a style now well known to everybody, related with the peace movement. In his designs he made his type like melting or moving.
